With a background in Painting and Graphics from the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle, Caroline Cramer (*1999, Germany) creates works that reclaim the narrative of the female form. Her intimate piece, “bathing (close-up I)”, intentionally shifts the perspective to depict the body in a deeply self-empowered way. Cramer’s compelling approach to representation was recently exhibited at Alte Handelsschule (ars avanti e.V.) in Leipzig.
