Milosz Kasper (*1991, Germany) studied Visual Communication at HTW Berlin. “Sich ein Herz fassen” is a blurry double portrait, two figures caught in what reads as an emotional inner dialogue — and the title tells you it’s really one person. The German idiom means to take heart, to pluck up courage, but it does so through a lovely bit of physical imagery: literally, “to grasp oneself a heart.” Splitting that single act of nerve into two figures is the move here — courage rendered as a conversation you have with yourself — and the blur keeps the two from fully separating, as if they might resolve back into one at any moment.
