With a background in Visual Communication from the Bauhaus University Weimar, Anna Francesca Rüstig (*1991, Austria) creates works that play with expectation and materiality. Her piece, “Nicht dass dir kalt wird” (Lest you get cold), explores a beautiful contradiction: it captures a fleeting, fragile moment of tenderness and immortalizes it in solid aluminum. It is a compelling contrast between emotional warmth and cold, industrial metal. Rüstig is an artist currently gaining momentum, with an upcoming exhibition at Better Go South.
