Art Auction 03 is the first Openhalle auction with a guest curator. Jinhee Kim is a painter working between Berlin and Seoul, with recent exhibitions at MMCA Korea, Gwacheon (2025), Frieze No.9 Cork Street (2024) and PACE Gallery Seoul (2024). Her work is held by Space K and the Park Seo-Bo Foundation, and she is represented by This Weekend Room, Seoul.
Kim selected the 22 artists from the open call together with Ben Hammond, founder of Openhalle. The selected artists were born between 1975 and 2000 and hold twelve nationalities from Germany to Pakistan, and their recent exhibitions run from Kunstpalast Düsseldorf, Paris Photo and Eigen + Art Lab to project spaces in Berlin, Warsaw and Sofia.
All 22 works hang on one wall at Weserhalle for the length of the auction, and online.
