Exhibit in Berlin.
Sell Worldwide.
Get your work in front of real collectors — online and on the wall in Berlin. Openhalle is a direct, transparent way to place your art in a curated exhibition and timed online auction, connecting you with an international base of engaged buyers.
Nice. Simple.
A classic 3 step situation.
1.
Enter Our
Open Call.
We run bi‑monthly open calls for submissions. We review every work to build a focused, dynamic auction, giving selected artists a well‑curated setting for their work.
2.
Exhibit
in Berlin.
Your work is showcased in Berlin, giving local and visiting collectors can experience it in person. We take care of installation and presentation. You focus on making the work.
3.
Sell to a Global Audience.
While the exhibition is on the wall, a timed online auction runs in parallel — opening your work up to our international collector base and creating clear, time‑bound momentum around your piece.
Furture Shows.
Openhalle is also a discovery platform for Weserhalle. Over the past eight years the Weserhalle has worked with artists such as Norbert Bisky, Navot Miller, Emil Urbanek, Georg Haberler, Johana Dumet and Jochen Mühlenbrink — and we continually look to our auctions when inviting artists for future collaborations. Still have questions?
Do I need to send the physical artwork?
Yes. If selected, your work must be shipped to our Berlin location for the physical exhibition. We believe art needs to be seen in person to be fully appreciated. You are responsible for shipping costs to Berlin; we cover installation and presentation.
Who can apply?
We welcome submissions from artists worldwide. There are no restrictions on age, education, or background. Whether you are self-taught or hold an MFA, we look for quality and distinctiveness in the work, not your CV.
What does it cost to take part?
There is a non‑refundable application fee of €10 per submission. If your work is selected and sells in the auction, Openhalle retains a 45% commission on the final sale price. There are no extra fees for hanging, installation, or marketing. Full details are in our Terms & Conditions.
What happens if my work doesn’t sell?
If a work does not meet its reserve price or receive a bid, it remains your property. You can choose to have it shipped back to you (at your expense) or collect it from our Berlin space. Unsold works are a normal part of any auction — they don’t count against you in future submissions.
Is this an exclusive contract?
No. This is a non‑exclusive agreement. You are free to work with other galleries or platforms. We only ask for exclusivity on the specific artwork you consign to us for the duration of the auction agreement.
Where can I read the full terms and conditions?
You can find the complete Terms & Conditions for artists here. Please review them carefully so you know exactly how we work before submitting.
