Troubleshooting Image & File Uploads

If you’re experiencing difficulty uploading your files, please check the following information regarding file types, file extensions, and file size limits.

If your file doesn’t align with the required type or is too large, you can often fix both issues by re-saving or compressing it using programs such as Photoshop or Gimp (free), or by using an online service like Cloud Convert (online tool).

Approved File Types

Let’s have a peek at the file types that are approved for upload. To ensure a successful upload, your file must align with one of these:

Images: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif, .pdf

File Size Limit

The maximum file size approved for upload is 30MB.

if your file exceeds this limit, you’ll need to compress or resize it. This can be done by re-saving the file using programs like Photoshop or Gimp (free), or through an online service like Cloud Convert (online tool).

How to Check Your File Extension

A file’s extension (e.g., .jpg.pdf) indicates its type. If the extension is not visible, follow these steps for your operating system:

Windows Users

  1. Open the folder containing your file.
  2. Click the ‘View’ option at the top of the folder window.
  3. Check the box for ‘File name extensions’.
  4. The file extension will now be visible after the file name (e.g., myphoto.**jpg**).

Mac Users

  1. Select your file in Finder.
  2. Press Command + I (Get Info).
  3. The file extension will be displayed under the “Name & Extension” section.
