Kathlen Pieritz (*1983, Germany) studied Kommunikationsdesign at FH Potsdam. “Am Horizont” places a single figure at the edge of looking, gazing into a horizon that stretches past the point of arrival — the kind of distance you can face but never reach. The longing is the subject: the horizon is the one line that retreats exactly as fast as you walk toward it, so the figure is caught in pure aspiration, fixed on something that stays forever just out of reach. To gaze at the horizon is to want, and to keep wanting.
